At Annual Plants Popular Shop, we take as much care in packaging your plants as we do in growing them. However, we understand that sometimes you may need to return or exchange an item. Our policy is designed to be as flexible and plant-friendly as possible.
Our Return Policy
We accept returns within 15 days of delivery for most of our plants, including popular varieties like Bougainvillea, Angelonia, and Celosia. To be eligible for a return:
- The plant must be in its original condition (alive and healthy)
- It must be in the original packaging when possible
- You must have the original receipt or proof of purchase
Important Note on Non-Returnable Items
Due to their perishable nature, we cannot accept returns for:
- Seasonal annual flowers for fall color (once planted)
- Plants that have been removed from their original containers
- Any plants showing signs of disease or pest infestation
- Custom or special order items like rare Cajun Hibiscus varieties
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Follow these simple steps to return your plants:
- Contact us within 15 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
- Wait for approval – Our plant specialists will review your request within 24-48 hours
- Package your return – We’ll provide specific repackaging instructions to ensure plant safety
- Ship your return – Use the prepaid return label we provide (for US customers)
- Receive your refund or replacement – Once we receive and inspect your return
Return Shipping
For returns due to our error (wrong item shipped, damaged in transit, etc.), we’ll cover return shipping costs. For other returns, customers are responsible for return shipping charges. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 3-5 business days), we’ll notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved:
- Refund method: Your refund will be processed to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Timing: Credit card refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days. PayPal refunds are usually immediate.
- Amount: You’ll receive a full refund of the purchase price (minus original shipping costs unless the return is due to our error)
Exchanges
We’re happy to exchange your plant for another variety of equal value, such as swapping your Alocasia for an Asparagus Fern. Simply indicate your preferred exchange when contacting us. If the new plant costs more, you’ll just pay the difference.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your Belgian Mum or Alternanthera plants arrive damaged or if you received the wrong item, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damaged item or incorrect product. We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund right away.
